An arrogant fighter goes around beating up kung fu teachers to "correct their bad kung fu". The 3 students of one master decide they must avenge their teacher's beating... by leaving without a word of explanation to find other, hopefully better, teachers. They agree to meet up in 6 months and see if they can beat the villain.
This is the sort of kung fu film the term 'chop-socky' was presumably coined to describe... just an excuse for a bunch of training and fight sequences. Fine if that's all you care about, but I do look for more myself. The plot is clearly not a selling point here, and though it's a nice enough looking film it's not exceptional in any aesthetic sense... so really apart from the talented martial artists (not clear which five give the film its title), not a lot to recommend here. Passable enough though.
