I was a big fan of the first EXTRACTION, and this sequel goes even harder (and longer). After a slow opening the film shifts into action mode and doesn't really let up again for about an hour, as the titular extraction turns into an ever-evolving clusterfuck of carnage.

The action choreography and direction are extraordinary, Sam Hargrave and team are amongst the best in the world right now when it comes to putting together an action scene, arguably right at the top.

The story is nothing special of course, but it doesn't really need to be - it does the job and rarely gets in the way.

It's a bit of a shame that the film's weakest action scene is its last, the one-on-one showdown lacks the dynamism of the earlier scenes as you always know where the threat is coming from, and it doesn't really deliver the satisfying conclusion/catharsis expected of an action film - they should have made better use of Daniel Bernhardt (which is true of most films, to be fair).
