It's probably another Taiwanese wuxia made to keep the Union Films staff busy between King Hu projects, with the cinematographer of Dragon Gate Inn and A Touch Of Zen in the director's chair this time. The (amazing) title never really makes much sense - maybe if they dropped the S - but SHE'D HATE RATHER THAN LOVE has a strong story and looks great.

Action is sparse and rather cartoonish, but fun, and there are some nice cameos of sets from The Bravest Revenge, or vice-versa.

Solid work all round, in other words!
