Shih Szu survives the massacre of her family and trains to take revenge. Along the way she bumps into the Crown Prince, travelling in disguise, and they realise the same villains are trying to kill them both and they should maybe team up.

The plot is pretty generic wuxia revenge with a dash of palace intrigue, but it's well executed, with strong characters and clear motivations. With Yuen Cheung-Yan and Corey Yuen handling the action the choreography is varied and inventive, and Shih Szu and Wang Chung both dish out some righteous punishment.

It's a shame the only available versions of this seem to be half-hearted digitisations of an extremely faded and scratched print, but in some ways the presentation suits the material.
