The Proud Twins (1979)

Chor Yuen directs a remake of The Jade-Faced Assassin, with Lily Ho's part going to Fu Sheng... not a positive change, in my opinion! In fact, Fu Sheng is probably the weakest part of what is otherwise a pretty solid piece of Chor Yuen wu xia - we have the extravagent sets and costumes, the outrageous characters and plot twists, and generally fun action and antics... but Fu Sheng's comedy mugging can be a bit tedious (I have never really liked him in period films though).

Not as good as the original film, and not one of Chor Yuen's best wu xia pian, but a reasonably entertaining way to spend 90 minutes of your life :)
