A fine tale of court intrigue centring around the old 'illegitimate heir' motif, with Lo Lieh as a wandering vagabond calling himself Swift Knight, who gets involved in the adventure Han Solo style. The script is more complicated than it needs to be, but Jeng Cheong-Woh handles it well whilst overseeing a slick production with great art direction and cinematography, and Lau Kar-Wing provides some entertaining action choreography. Definitely a cut above average for the genre and year.
