Vengeance (2009)

Clearly kin to To's most stylised films, namely The Mission and Exiled, VENGEANCE introduces a foreign actor but little else... whilst the aforementioned films felt like personal, artistically driven films, VENGEANCE feels like a retread - plenty of style, but short on substance. It's still quite an enjoyable film, but falls far short of the delirious cinematic joy that its predecessors evoked.
